According to the annual report, Vietnam ranks 25th of 190 economies, up seven positions since 2019, and ranking second in Asia after Brunei. The credit access index takes into account legal, interest, and credit information. Vietnam scored eight points for credit information, pushing its credit access score to 80 out of 100 points, a rise of 5 points since 2019. The result shows the determination of Vietnam’s Central Bank in directing credit institutions to create favorable conditions for people and businesses to access credit in a fair and transparent manner that protects the legitimate rights of lenders and borrowers.
