Website launched to trace itinerary of unnumbered ships
(VOVWORLD) - A website was launched recently at http://doantaukhongso.vn to trace the itinerary of the secret unnumbered ships that carried ammunition and supplies to the south along the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea during the war.
The website gives visitors information about and pictures of the places these unnumbered ships traveled to between 1961 and 1975. The website was created by Hai Phong city’s Central Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee to mark the 60th anniversary of the launch of the opening of Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea on October 23, 1961.
The website also hosts a contest for infographic design and video production and an online quiz about the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea and the feats of the unnumbered ships, as well as updates on political events of the army and the Vietnam People's Navy, and activities in places with relics of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea.
