(VOVWORLD) - Coach of Vietnam's national football team Park Hang Seo has proposed the Vietnam Football Federation to add some overseas Vietnamese playing in Europe to the national team, said Thailand’s Siam Sport newspaper.

Siam Sport said that early this year, many overseas Vietnamese players are expected to return to play for Vietnam.

Alexander Dang is a Norwegian of Vietnamese origin. The 1m85 player was born in Norway by a Vietnamese father and a Norwegian mother. He currently plays for Egersunds IK club in the Norwegian Second Division. Dang turns 32 this year.

Another Vietnamese-born player who has been noticed recently is Kelvin Bui, born in 2002 in a family of a Vietnamese father and a Dutch mother. Bui used to play for the Netherlands U17 team in 2019, growing up in the training camp of NEC Nijmegen club, before moving to the youth team of Vitesse club.

Jason Quang-Vinh Pendant has caught the attention of coach Park. He currently plays for New York’s professional club Red Bull, belonging to the American professional football league MLS. The 1m77 left-back player was born in 1997 in France.
