Deputy Director of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs’ Legal Department, Mai Duc Thien, said workers in business entities are entitled to establish their organization separated from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Unions. Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Labor Code Revision Drafting Board, Doan Mau Diep, said this will benefit workers more. He said: ”These amendments will ensure all workers have their voice heard during dialogues at work to address their concerns and interests. Vietnam hasn’t got experience in this practice. Relating amendments must be reviewed carefully with respect to International Labor Organization’s suggestions in the context of local institution and labor relations.”
