According to economist Daniel Müller of the German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV), Vietnam’s new Prime Minister, State President, and National Assembly Chairman all have realistic viewpoints and actively act toward specific goals and results. With the new government, Vietnam is still consistent with the political guideline set out at the 13th National Party Congress, he said.

Vietnamese intellectuals in Germany expressed their expectations for Vietnam’s new government. Professor Nguyen Van Thoai of the University of Trier lauded Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s experience gained through years of working in many important positions. He believes Mr. Chinh will put forward sound policies to make Vietnam thrive.

Doctor Nguyen Viet Anh, President of the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Germany, said the Vietnamese government has obtained great economic achievements thanks to policies like boosting the digital economy and focusing on technological innovation. Vietnam’s assuming the role of UN Security Council Chair in April will surely have a good influence on maintaining peace in the East Sea, ASEAN and other regions around the world, he said.

A number of Egyptian newspapers on Monday ran articles on Vietnam’s new leadership which, they said, will contribute to consolidating relations between the two countries.

The Events Magazine News e-newspaper predicted that newly-elected Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead the Vietnamese government to overcome difficulties and challenges to complete strategic targets set for the next five years.

An article posted on the Eldyar e-newspaper announced Vietnam’s new President and Prime Minister and predicted that PM Chinh will come up with economic policies that involve Middle East-African countries, including Egypt.
