World leaders bid farewell to former German chancellor Helmut Kohl
(VOVWORLD) - Leaders from the United States, Russia and across Europe paid tribute on Saturday to former German chancellor Helmut Kohl as the architect of German reunification and a driving force for European integration.

High-ranking officials of Germany, the European Commission, the European Parliament, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, and former US President Bill Clinton were among the attendees.
Mr. Helmut Kohl died on June 16 at 87. He had made great contribution to Germany and was one of the most influential politicians in Europe.
