(VOVworld) – A story about doctors in Vietnam’s outpost islands by reporter Nguyen Thi Khanh Ly of the VnExpress online newspaper has won the first prize in a writing contest in honor of Vietnamese physicians.

The award was announced at a ceremony Thursday in Hanoi, which also marked the 60th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day on February 27th.
Entitled “Silent Sacrifice”, the competition, the third of its kind acknowledged contributions of health workers and outstanding individuals to public healthcare.
