(VOVWORLD) - 350 outstanding youths were honored at a ceremony in Hanoi on Monday as part of activities to mark the 88th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 26.

Secretary of Hanoi’s Youth Union Nguyen Ngoc Viet said the Union’s activities over the years have promoted youth creativity and volunteerism.
A similar ceremony took place Monday in Da Nang city, where the Deputy Secretary of the city’s Youth Union Nguyen Manh Dung urged local youth union members to find new ways to boost youth activities in line with the city’s development in the new context.
"Da Nang city’s Youth Union honored and presented gifts to members with outstanding contributions to education, volunteer work, and start-up activities. We hope the honorees will continue contributing to future youth union activities," he said.
Similar activities were held in Ben Tre, Binh Dinh, Can Tho, and Soc Trang. The Hau Giang provincial Youth Union presented to five disadvantaged Union members saving books worth 400 USD each.
