(VOVworld)-The Association for former Vietnamese Youth Volunteers celebrated its 62^nd anniversary in Hanoi on Thursday. 300 association members were honored for their successful poverty reduction and comradeship support.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan praised the association’s major contribution to the resistance war and national construction in peace time: “The former youth volunteered we honor today represent thousands of outstanding youth volunteers who have overcome difficulties and promoted their comradeship for economic development.”

Delegates voiced their appreciation to Party and State’s support and encouragement so that they could participate more in national development.
