Can Tho Court’s ruling on divorce case involving Thai Steven, Vo Kim Duyen

(VOVWORLD) - The Can Tho municipal People’s Court would like to inform US citizen Thai Steven about the ruling on the divorce case with Ms. Vo Kim Duyen, born in 1988.

Mr. Thai Steven was born in 1961. His most recently known address is 608N Sandia Ave, LA puente CA 91746, USA.

In the Decree of Divorce (No. 102/2020/HNGD-ST) dated August 14, 2020, the court’s judgments were stated as followed:

Pursuant to Paragraph 1, Article 56, Article 123 of the Vietnamese Law on Marriage and Family, Article 28,  Article 37, Paragraph 4, Article 147, Paragraph 1, Article 228, Paragraph 3, Article 474, Item b, Paragraph 5, Article 477, Paragraph 1 and 2, Article 479 of the 2015 Code of Civil Procedure of Vietnam,

- Marital relationship:  It is ordered and decreed by the Court that Mr. Thai Steven and Ms. Vo Kim Duyen are divorced and that the marriage between them is dissolved.

Children, shared asset and liability: Mr. Thai Steven and Ms. Vo Kim Duyen are known to have no child and shared asset and liability. They are entitled to file a complaint to the court later if any dispute arises.

- The court's fee: Ms. Vo Kim Duyen is required to pay the court's fee according to receipt no. 001137 dated July 16, 2019 issued by the Can Tho Department of Civil Judgment Enforcement.

- Fee for oversea notification: The petitioner already paid the free.

- Right of appeal: Ms. Vo Kim Duyen has the right to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling within 15 days after the decree is announced. The appeal against the Court’s ruling should be submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Court. Mr. Thai Steven has the right to file an appeal against the Court’s ruling within 30 days after the decree is announced.

In case the judgment is executed under Article 2 of the Law on Civil Judgment Execution, the judgment creditors and the judgment debtors have the right to reach agreement, the right to request judgment execution, voluntarily execute the judgment, or are forced to execute the judgment in accordance with Articles 6,7, and 9 of the Law on Civil Judgment Execution. The statute of limitations for the judgment execution shall comply with Article 30 of the Law on Civil Judgment Execution.
