Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Quan said the Vietnamese government has paid due attention to and issued special policies to support victims of bombs and mines across Vietnam. At present, 100% of bomb and mine victims are elegible to preferential policies with free health insurance services, rehabilitation support, and vocational training, Quan added.

Such achievements are also attributed to international friends and donors who have sponsored millions of USD to help Vietnam tackle post-war bombs and unexploded ordnance (UXOs). The Vietnamese government hopes to continue receive support from the international communities to help decontaminate its 800,000 ha of land filled with UXOs.
