More Australian holiday-makers during Grand Prix 2020 in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Australian service companies are gearing up preparation as more Australian holiday-makers are to come to Vietnam for the Formula One’s first ever race in Hanoi in 2020.

Motorsport Shop, Australia’s supplier of global motorbike and car racing services, is one of them. “Vietnam is a destination that we need to let people know what they can do there so that we can take 30% of travel business into Vietnam and help grow your country’s GNP. When we travel once, we have a good experience, we go back and it could be every year so people will come in, do the Grand Prix and then on which travel in Vietnam, and I love good service,” said Motorsport Shop’s CEO Patrick Wedge.

Vietnam expects to welcome more foreign visitors, including those from Australia, in 2020, said Vietnamese Consul General to Sydney Trinh Duc Hai. He attributed this to Vietnam’s hosting a number of important events during 2020, including ASEAN Summit and related meetings and the F1’s Grand Prix. Hai said the Vietnamese Consulate General in Australia will create the best possible conditions for visitors applying visas to travel to Vietnam.

“The Vietnamese tourism industry eyes great opportunities as the Grand Prix 2020 will be hosted in Hanoi. The Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney will do its best in cooperation with related Australian agencies to better promote beautiful landmarks of Hanoi and Vietnam to visitors from Australia and the world at large,” said Hai.
