Nearly 50 million USD allocated to support COVID-19 affected workers
(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly Standing Committee adopted a resolution on Thursday for continued support for workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accordingly, nearly 50 million USD extracted from the Fund for Unemployment Insurance will be given to eligible workers. The funding will be delivered by September 10.
In his closing speech at the 14th session of the NA Standing Committee, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said the Committee finalized its agenda. He asked the Secretary General and Head of the NA Office to make the conclusion of the meeting public, and finalize necessary procedures to submit to the NA Chairman for approval the resolutions on Q&A and the establishment of Binh Phu township in Tien Giang province and Chon Thanh township and its communes in Binh Phuc province.
Mr. Hue said the NA Standing Committee will meet next week to discuss law building and preparations for the next session of the NA. The revised a draft land law and the draft law on civil defense will also be debated.
