Reduction of business conditions pays off

(VOVWORLD) -Ministries and sectors have cut down more than 3,000 of the total 6,200 business conditions. The move is part of the Vietnamese government’s effort to improve business environment and boost rapid and sustainable growth.

After 10 months of implementing the government resolution on tasks and measures for socio-economic development plan and state budget for 2018, positive changes have been reported. The Ministry of  Industry and Trade is the first to implement the resolution with the largest number of documents issued. All decrees on reducing business conditions crafted by the Ministry were published before August 2018. Nguyen Minh Thao, Head of the Business Environment Department of the Central Institute for Economic Management, said: “The decline of business conditions means favorable conditions for businesses. Time and quantity required have been shortened and reduced. Conditions on facilities are also simplified.”

Minister and Head of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung said: “There have been encouraging results. Ministries have submitted for issuance and issued 21 documents, reduced 6,776 of the total 9,026 product lines subject to screening, and simplified 30 procedures.”

Ministries and sectors are urged to focus on normative documents to create the best conditions for people, businesses, and society.
