This message was highlighted on Saturday at the seminar “Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Driving Vietnam’s High-Tech and Semiconductor Manufacturing Ecosystem,” in Hanoi.
The event is part of the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Exhibition 2025 – SEMIExpo Vietnam 2025, co-organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC) under the Ministry of Finance and the global Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI).
Speaking at the seminar, Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC, emphasized that Vietnam aims to advance in technology, foster innovation, develop high-quality human resources, and build smart manufacturing hubs that reflect Vietnam’s identity.
Huy said: “NIC will continue to implement Vietnam’s semiconductor industry development strategies through 2030, with orientations to 2050, as well as the national human resource development program for the semiconductor sector approved by the Prime Minister. NIC serves as a bridge connecting partners, organizations, experts, and all stakeholders in the global semiconductor value chain to invest, collaborate, train, and help build Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem… This will remain our most important mission in the coming period.”
Vietnam has already issued a list of strategic technologies and strategic technology products, placing AI at the top of national priority. This reaffirms Vietnam’s commitment to making AI a core driver of high-tech development and future economic growth.
