Deputy Director of the Export and Import Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Tran Thanh Hai told VOV that, since January to November, export revenue is estimated at 300 billion USD, an increase of 17.5% compared with the same period last year. The targets of 600 billion USD trade revenue and export surplus have been almost achieved, he said.

“Goods for export have been diverse. Processed products accounted for 86% of the national export value while the export of crude mineral materials reduced. Processed products have increased 18% which is the main driving force maintaining growth. Export markets have expanded to more diverse products and FTA markets have been effectively exploited. For example, the EU and UK markets and new markets in the CPTPP such as Mexico, Canada, and Peru grew well,” said Hai.

Mr. Hai said that due to the pandemic and its impacts on production, trade, exports, and imports, businesses should actively respond to it while enhancing trade promotions on online platforms to maintain trade relations with partners and explore new markets.
