This unique and invincible complex was the headquarters of the Vietnamese Army, where President Ho Chi Minh and other senior officials led Vietnam’s resistance war aganst the French colonialists from 1947 to 1954. Vietnamese Canadian Bui Hoang Thang told VOV: "Vietnam with very rudimental weapons defeated the enemy that possessed more advanced weapons. I learn that the Vietnamese people are very patriotic and undaunted to protect their national sovereignty. Yesterday we visited the Vietnam’s Museum of Military History and heard about the Dien Bien Phu Victory. Today we know that this safety zone was where the Dien Bien Phu campaign was discussed."

Do Thi Nha Trang, a guide at the Dinh Hoa Safety Zone, said: "We’re very glad and feel honoured to welcome young overseas Vietnamese from around the world to visit the site. We were very touched watching them listen carefully to the museum curators. I hope young overseas Vietnamese, no matter where they reside, will have opportunities to visit different places in Vietnam and learn about Vietnam’s history."
