(VOVWORLD) - A high-speed ferry service connecting Da Nang city with Ly Son island off coast the central province of Quang Ngai has been launched by Phu Quoc Express JSC.

The company’s ferry can carry nearly 600 passengers and help shorten the travel time from 4 hours to over 2 hours.
The ship will leave Da Nang Tuesday and Saturday mornings and return from the Ly Son Islands on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons.
Tran Phuoc Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said: “The service is intended to strengthen tourism development in the key economic region of the Central-Central Highlands regions, and Da Nang and Quang Ngai province in particular. We hope that Quang Ngai province will create favorable conditions for travel businesses to better serve their tourists via this sea route.”
