(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) of Ho Chi Minh City on Monday launched a fund-raising program worth 76 billion VND (3.2 million USD) for Green Truong Sa (Spratly).

Chairwoman of the committee Tran Kim Yen said that the program “For Green Truong Sa” for 2023-2025 will mobilize resources to improve the soil, grow green vegetables and trees, especially windbreakers, increasing the tree density on the islands.
The program will run until April 30 or until the expected target of 76 billion VND is reached. Every year the city will organize trips to give gifts to officials, soldiers and people in Truong Sa Island district.
