Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Corporation organized twelve sessions to communicate the safeguarding of the national sea and islands and 3,200 communicators disseminated information to more than 1,200 fishermen. The joint program of the Saigon Newport Corporation and the six provinces aimed to raise public awareness and promote the protection of sea and island sovereignty.

Bui Huy Thanh, Head of Dak Nong Party Committee's Education and Communication Section, said, "The activities have brought practical results and made a good impression on the people of Dak Nong province. The Dak Nong provincial Party Committee hopes to achieve closer coordination with the Navy, and particularly the Saigon military port."

Many other provinces and cities have held activities to promote communications on sea and islands, including a contest to learn about the Ho Chi Minh Trail at sea.

Colonel Pham Van Phen, Party Committee Secretary and Deputy General Director of the Saigon Newport Corporation, said, "In 2022, the Saigon Newport Corporation and the Department of Education and Communication in other localities will continue to work together and implement what we signed to improve communications on the national sea and islands and attract human resources."
