The figures further reinforce Vietnam’s position as the world’s leading cashew exporter, accounting for around 80% of global cashew exports.

In the first four months of this year alone, Vietnam exported 217,000 tonnes of cashew kernels, earning nearly 1.5 billion USD, up in both volume and value compared with the same period last year. The cashew industry is projected to generate around 5 billion USD in export revenue this year.

Dong Nai is known as Vietnam’s cashew capital, with annual raw cashew output of around 300,000 tonnes. The city has also become one of the world’s major cashew processing hubs, with nearly 2,800 businesses involved in the industry.
