VOV promotes cooperation with RRI

(VOVworld) – Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) signed a cooperative agreement at the National Radio Broadcasting Center in Hanoi on Monday.

Under the agreement signed by VOV General Director Nguyen Dang Tien and RRI President Rosarita Niken Widiastut, VOV and RRI will enhance cooperation in information exchange and culture. Their goal is to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries. VOV General Director Nguyen Dang Tien: “Following the signing of this cooperative agreement, we hope for a significant step toward establishing a firm legal framework for sustainable cooperative ties between the media agencies of the two countries. The agreement also helps boost diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Indonesia, making active contribution to the development of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU)”.

RRI President Rosarita Niken Widiastut affirmed that cooperation with the VOV is the mission of RRI, and key to its role as Indonesia’s national radio service: “The signing of the cooperative agreement between RRI and VOV is considered a significant landmark for the two countries. Under this program, we can exchange experience, professional skills and viewpoints of national radio. The cooperation will bring the two peoples closer together”.

At the signing ceremony, Indonesian ambassador to Vietnam Mayerfas said collaboration between VOV and RRI is significant in bilateral communication cooperation. He promised that Indonesian embassy in Vietnam will do its best so that the agreement will soon be implemented.

Earlier, VOV Deputy General Director Vu Hai hosted a courtesy reception for the RRI delegation.
