(VOVworld) – VOV General Director Nguyen Dang Tien spoke highly of the staff and journalists at VOV’s Bureau in the Mekong River Delta at a ceremony to mark the Bureau’s 15^th anniversary on Friday. He asked them to reinvigorate their activities to make immediate, precise, attractive reports and improve the quality of the Khmer language broadcast.

Mr.Tien said: "VOV Bureau in the Mekong River Delta has to broaden its role in the region and enhance relations with provinces, cities, and radio stations in the Southwestern region. It should collaborate with other radio and TV stations to implement tasks assigned by the Steering Committee for the Southwestern Region and the agreement signed between VOV and Military Zone 9."
On behalf of the State President, General Director Tien conferred the Labor Order, 1^st class, on the Khmer language section and Labor Order, 2^nd class, on the Bureau. He gave 35 merit medals for the cause of Radio Broadcasting to individuals from the Command of Military Zone 9 and Marine Region 5. VOV presented a local radio broadcasting device worth 6,000 USD to Thoi Hung commune, Co Do district, Can Tho city.
