The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs hopes to train 80% of workers before sending them abroad. The Ministry is working on a project to send skilled workers abroad until 2020, with vision to 2025. It focuses on training health workers to work in Japan and Germany and mechanics, information technology, and electronics workers in South Korea. Government agencies will help workers take advantage of job opportunities and learn about their rights and responsibilities abroad. Simplifying administrative procedures for labor export companies boost labor exports.

Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep said: “The Ministry has instructed the Overseas Labor Management Department to negotiate with countries to reduce administrative procedures. The Department has used online registration since early this year to ensure transparency.”

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has asked labor export companies to improve their performance. “Labor export companies should be members of the Labor Export Association. The Association will work with government agencies to generate a good environment for businesses and improve the prestige of the Association. We have to guarantee equality and transparency to prevent negative phenomena.”

Vietnam intends to send 100,000 - 120,000 workers abroad each year from now to 2020.
