(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee has announced the establishment of 7 consultative councils at the 2^nd meeting of the Front’s Presidium.

The councils will cover the areas of science, education, and the environment, social-culture, democracy and the law, overseas Vietnamese affairs, religions, ethnicity, and economics.
VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan addressed the meeting on Monday: “The Vietnam Fatherland Front will make recommendations to several revised laws including the draft revisions to the Civil Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Law on the Election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils. The Front will also monitor the implementation of some Prime Ministerial signed projects such as attracting overseas Vietnamese intellectuals for national construction and the draft resolution on the national criteria for the movement “All people unite to build a cultural lifestyle”.
