(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Standing Committee convened its 31^st session in Hanoi on Monday to discuss preparations for the upcoming National Assembly session. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said deputies will comment on 15 draft laws including the revised Civil Code, the Law on National Assembly and People’s Council deputies, the Law on the Organization of the Government, and the Law on the Organization of Local Administrations.

Topics for discussion will include the government report on crime and corruption prevention this year and the issuance of the National Assembly resolution on reforming school textbooks. Deputies will also discuss economic restructuring in public investment, state-owned enterprises, and the banking system. The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam will attend a hearing on issues of their concern.
