(VOVworld) - Five hundred representatives from the Vietnam Journalists Association and press agencies nationwide attended a ceremony to mark the 65th anniversary of the association in Hanoi on Monday.

Individuals and organizations receive certificates of merit at the ceremony

Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, reviewed the developments of the Vietnam Journalists Association and its contributions to Vietnam’s revolutionary press. Huynh said: “The Vietnam Journalists Association should continue to promote the role, quality, and performance of its branches. They should focus on improving the profession of journalists, sense of social responsibility and obligations, and continue the movement of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example. The Association should engage in fulfilling the tasks of national construction and defense and vigorously combat reactionary schemes.”
