A Sao Temple Festival recognized as national intangible cultural heritage

(VOVworld) – The A Sao Temple Festival opened on Tuesday at the A Sao Temple Relic Site in An Thai commune, Thai Binh province.

The event coincided with a ceremony to recognize the A Sao Temple Festival as a national intangible cultural heritage.

The event, which runs until Thursday, will include an incense offering ceremony, other traditional rituals, and folk games and dances.

A Sao Temple is dedicated to the renowned historical figure General Tran Quoc Tuan, who served as Supreme Commander of Vietnam during the Tran Dynasty and led Vietnamese troops to repel Mongolian invaders in the 13th century.
