Activities marking President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday underway
(VOVworld)- On Tuesday, the Party Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the Lao-Vietnamese Friendship Association, and local authorities in Vientiane organized a meeting to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s 125
th birthday.

In his address, the President of the Lao-Vietnamese Friendship Association Phankham Viphavan said the President had always respected and contributed to fostering a special friendship between the two countries. Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and Party leaders in both countries, the Vietnamese and Lao have strengthened their bilateral ties and they have become an invaluable asset for both countries.
To mark the occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing organized an incense burning ceremony. The delegates reviewed President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career as well as his contribution to Vietnamese- Chinese relationships.
The Junge Welt newspaper of Germany dedicated one page to cover a moving article about the President by Hellmut Kapfenberger. The article quoted historians and researchers describing President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary career and great personality.
