An Giang asked to improve food products for export
(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked An Giang province to improve the quality and added value of food products for export.

At Tuesday meeting with An Giang authorities, Mr. Phuc spoke highly of An Giang’s plan to become a center for rice, fishing, and pig breeding. He instructed the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to help An Giang build connections for tra fish production, and approved the province’s proposal to recognize hi-tech enterprises.
An Giang is one of four provinces in the Mekong Delta key economic region with high potential for agricultural and tourism development. However, the province’s agricultural sector has faced many difficulties due to climate change and extreme weather.
The same day, the Prime Minister visited the Dinh Thanh Scientific Research Centre in An Giang’s Thoai Son district, a rice research institute owned by the Loc Troi Group.
