(VOVworld)-Artisans from 23 countries and territories will display their distinctive products at the 2016 International Kite Festival, starting next Tuesday in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The week-long festival with the theme “Dance of Peace”, will for the first time see the competition from Brazil, New Zealand, Germany and Sweden.

The highlight of the event will be a 136-minute kite show with 20 segments. Spectators will also have the chance to enjoy the “Battle of the Five Elements” and “Children of Dragon and Fairy” performances, which earned Vietnamese kite flyers some prizes at an international kite festival in Malaysia earlier this year. Participating kite artisans and connoisseurs will also teach kite-making skills to local students.
