The province has created a favorable business environment and issued preferential policies to attract domestic and foreign investors.

Bac Can province covers an area of 5,000 square meters, 85 percent of which is forest land. The province is rich in mineral resources such as lead, zinc, and gold. Bac Can also has many well-known tourist attractions like Ba Be lake which was recognized as a Special National Relic site by the Prime Minister and as a Ramar site by UNESCO.

Bac Can has posted public investment information on its official website: backan.gov.vn and on the websites of provincial departments and sectors. The province has also accelerated ODA projects and called for more ODA capital for reducing poverty and growing its economy. Bac Can wants more investment in areas of high potential and has expanded its relations with non-governmental organizations to seek more support for infrastructure development.
