Brazil tightens airport security for Olympic Games

(VOVworld) - After a terror attack killed 84 people in the city of Nice, France, last week, security is at its maximum in Brazilian airports, as Brazil hosts the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

On Monday, new security checkpoints were set up at Brazilian airports, providing more thorough body searches and luggage inspections.

Brazilian state airport administrator, Infraero, recommends that travelers arrive two hours before scheduled domestic flights. Brazil plans to deploy 85,000 police and soldiers to provide security for the Olympics next month.
