(VOVworld) – Relations between the UK and Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular will not be affected by the UK’s exit from the EU, said Lord Price, Minister of State for Trade Policy with the UK’s Department for International Trade, at a meeting with the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee’s Nguyen Thanh Phong on Tuesday.

Mr. Phong said Mr. Price’s visit is an important milestone, which will boost bilateral cooperation between the UK and Vietnam. Mr. Phong said he hopes to see more support from the UK for development programs in the future, especially in infrastructure and urban development. Mr. Price said the UK will continue to boost cooperation with Vietnam in bilateral trade and cooperative investment, including Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
