(VOVworld) – The Central Theoretical Council and Ho Chi Minh city’s Party Committee on Monday jointly organized a symposium on theoretical issues and realities regarding the last 30 years of renewal.

Dinh The Huynh, Secretary of the Party's Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, and President of the Central Theoretical Council, said the renewal process in Vietnam will have been going for 30 years by 2016. The country aims to become an advanced industrial country by 2020. Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Le Thanh Hai said it’s important to clarify the core issues of a socialist oriented market economy including innovations of thinking and actions in performing the state’s function of economic management from the central and grassroots level.
