Charity program promotes national sea and islands sovereignty
(VOVworld) – A charity program called “The sea heart on Ly Son island” was held Saturday in commemoration of generations of people who rendered great services to protecting national seas and islands.
The program comprised various activities including a service to pray for national peace and prosperity at Tu Quang pagoda in An Hai commune, a ceremony to set free garlands to pay tribute to war martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect Truong Sa and Hoang Sa, and a flag salute ceremony on Ly Son island. On this occasion, the program organizers presented gifts worth 15,000 USD to the island’s fishermen and disadvantaged families.
