(VOVworld) – Many activities are underway across Vietnam to celebrate President Ho Chi Minh’s 122^nd birthday on May 19^th. On this occasion, the central highlands province of Gia Lai today opened a photo exhibition entitled “President Ho Chi Minh with party building work”. On display are 148 photos and materials divided into 3 main topics: President Ho Chi Minh – the founder of the Communist Party of Vietnam; President Ho Chi Minh with party building work; and Gia Lai province’s tireless efforts to improve the party building work in accordance with President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology. The exhibition aims to encourage people from all social strata to speed up the party building work to improve the party’s leadership and strength to prevent degradation in morality and lifestyle of each party member, while calling them to maintain their vanguard role in the country’s construction and development to fulfill any tasks assigned by party and state. The exhibition will run until next Friday.

The national political publishing house has revealed the Vietnamese edition of a book on Ho Chi Minh by Thai social activist Suprida Phanomjong as part of a range of events to mark the President’s 122^nd birthday. 190 pages long and with 16 chapters, the book reflects the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh while he was in Thailand. The author wanted to show his respect and love for President Ho Chi Minh, whom he met 45 years ago by writing the book. Translator Nguyen Thanh Hoan has this to say ‘Many foreign writers have written about President Ho Chi Minh’s life, career, morality, and personality. However, the focus of this book is on the President’s stay in Thailand, in 1928 and 1929 to send a message of friendship between the two peoples during the war of resistance against the French colonialists’.
