Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh received Thai and Filipino Ambassadors

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh told the Thai Ambassador to Vietnam, Manopchai Vongphakdi on Tuesday that both sides should accelerate the implementation of their 3rd joint cabinet meeting’s statement to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties this August. The Thai Ambassador announced Thai government’s donation of 100,000 dollars to help Vietnam overcome consequences of drought and salt intrusion in the south.

In his reception of Filipino Ambassador Noel Servigon, the Deputy Prime Minister said Vietnam wants to strengthen ties with the Philippines for peace, stability and prosperity. He called for the drafting of a program of actions to promote bilateral strategic partnership.
