(VOVworld) - Vietnam and Thailand hope to soon reach an agreement on labour cooperation given the recent establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue said at a reception for Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Manopchai Vongphakdi in Hanoi on Monday.

Mr. Hue urged Thailand to expand its recruitment of Vietnamese workers and accelerate the construction of thermal power projects in Vietnam’s central province of Quang Tri.
The Deputy Prime Minister said Thailand and Vietnam should seek a common voice and central role for ASEAN in relations with other economies.
Deputy Prime Minister Hue expressed his deep condolences with the Thai Royal family, government, and people for the death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
