(VOVworld) – The 16^th Congress of Hanoi’s Party Committee will be held from November 1 – 3 and a preparatory meeting will take place on October 31.

The Congress will review the performance of the 15^th Congress, decide on development tasks and targets for the city in the 2015-2020 term, elect a new Party Executive Committee, and discuss documents of the 12^th National Party Congress.
Secretary of Hanoi’s Party Committee, Pham Quang Nghi, told VOV prior to the congress: “In the next term, Hanoi aims to obtain three breakthroughs. The city will continue to modernize its socio-economic infrastructure in urban and rural areas. We’ll also make breakthroughs in administrative reform to ensure social order and promote a cultural lifestyle among Hanoians. It’s necessary to improve human resources for the global integration process while maintaining Hanoi’s characteristics.”
