Economic cooperation prioritised in Vietnam-France bilateral relations

(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh said economic cooperation will continue to be the top priority of Vietnam-France bilateral relations and that the Vietnamese government always creates the best possible conditions for French businesses to do business in Vietnam.

At a meeting with newly-appointed French Ambassador to Vietnam Bertrand Lortholary in Hanoi on Tuesday, Mr. Minh expressed his hope that Vietnam and France will continue their cooperation in key projects on infrastructure, energy, healthcare, environment, and agriculture and France’s ODA support for Vietnam.
Ambassador Lortholary said France values close cooperation with Vietnam in education and training, science and technology, healthcare and culture, and supports the signing of a Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement. The ambassador pledged to do his best to promote the Vietnam-France strategic partnership.

Ambassador Lortholary also met with Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee.
