Mr. Lam said there are 4.5 million Vietnamese overseas and the VFF has, in recent years, been calling on them to contribute to the homeland. He praised their patriotism and contributions to all aspects of life in Vietnam. He added that in the new term, the VFF will continue to help overseas Vietnamese stabilize their lives while upholding national identity.

Mr. Tai Phuong from the US said: “The VFF has paid special attention to community activities. The Hai Phong overseas Vietnamese Liaison Committee now has more than 1,400 members who have been actively contributing to VFF movements to support poor children and people in areas hit by natural disasters and programs toward the East Sea. Personally, I support all VFF movements and call on others to contribute to national development. We are building an overseas Vietnamese village to create favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to make their contributions to the homeland.”
