Fatherland Front President receives UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam

(VOVworld)- President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan had a working session with UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam Pratibha Mehta on the implementation of millennium development goals on Wednesday in Hanoi.

Mr. Nhan said it requires great efforts of the Vietnamese government and people and the support of the international community to achieve these goals. He added the Fatherland Front will encourage socio-political organizations and people to take a more active part in policy making and supervising state agencies’ implementation of sustainable development goals. Ms. Pratibha Mehta said the UN will continue its assistance for Vietnam to make sure that everybody benefits from the implementation of millennium development goals in the next 15 years. She emphasized the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s imitative of surveying people’s satisfaction over the public administrative sector.
