Gifts sent to Nam Du archipelago for Lunar New Year

(VOVworld) – Naval officials, authorities, and journalists visited Nam Du archipelago on Monday to offer islanders gifts for the coming Tet, Vietnam’s Lunar New Year celebration. The visitors met with residents stationed at An Son and Nam Du commune and border guard and radar stations in the neighborhood.

Captain Dinh Van Phong, head of radar station 600, said: “Each soldier is given extra money in addition to his Tet bonus. We have prepared enough farm produce for soldiers’ Tet celebration.”

Located in the southern province of Kien Giang, Nam Du archipelago consists of 21 islands.
