Addressing the ceremony, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Le Thanh Hai expressed his deep gratitude to the mothers for their great devotion and sacrifice for national liberation. Across the country, more than 59,000 women have been recognized as Heroic Mothers.
