He was speaking in a conference hosted by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in Hanoi on Wednesday to addressed pending issues facing Vietnamese workers abroad: “Market expansion for laborers requires new careers and less menial jobs while engaging more provincial contribution and training for workers. The government has planned to amend laws regulating Vietnamese workers serving abroad.”

Last year, Vietnam sent nearly 130,000 workers abroad, mostly in Chinese Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.
