(VOVworld) – The National Assembly’s Standing Committee continued its 31^st session on Thursday to debate the revised law on the Special Consumption Tax.

Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung delivered a report at the session

The deputies agreed on the necessary to revise the law to meet national socio-economic development and international norms to support production and consumption. The revised law will adopt supplements to match reality, ensure clarity of the legal system, guarantee a stable income for the state budget, boost administrative reform, and improve tax management. Most of the deputies agreed to a proposal to raise a special consumption tax on tobacco.
