North Korea rejects UN condemnation of its missile test

(VOVworld) – North Korea's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday it rejects a UN Security Council statement denouncing its latest missile launch test. A spokesman at the Ministry said the Sunday launch was a sovereign right and a self-defence measure. The UN has adopted six sanction resolutions for North Korea since 2006.

In another development, China has refused a large coal shipment from North Korea. Wenzhou city on Monday rejected more than 16,000 tons of coal from North Korea, worth around 1 million USD, due to the level of mercury detected in the coal, which was higher than allowed
