PM: training high-ranking personnel to defend national independence and sovereignty
(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung attended the opening ceremony of the 2014-2015 school year at the Defense Academy in Hanoi on Tuesday.
He said that national defense is vital to Vietnam and that the Academy was tasked with training high-ranking military officials and researching strategic issues concerning national defense and military. He asked the Academy to boost scientific research and improve forecasts of subversive schemes in order to work out timely solutions under any circumstances.
The Prime Minister said he hoped the Academy would become a leading center for education, training and military science development at national, regional and international level.
