Party leader arrives in Beijing, beginning official visit to China
(VOVworld)- The General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Beijing on Thursday, beginning an official visit to China at the invitation of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping.

The Vietnamese Party leader and his entourage were welcomed at Beijing International Airport by Song Tao, Head of the International Liaison Department under the Chinese Party Central Committee, China’s Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong, the Vietnamese Ambassador to China Dang Minh Khoi, Vietnamese Embassy staff and Vietnamese people living in China.
Taking place at a time when the two countries are preparing to celebrate the 67th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations and welcome their traditional Lunar New Year, the visit is of great importance as it aims to set out healthy and long-term development directions for bilateral ties.
